Born in 1949 in Chicago, Illinois, Dan Sigler has been practicing law since 1974. A graduate of Valparaiso University School of Law, Dan was elected to five terms as prosecuting attorney for Adams County and served in that capacity from 1979 to 1999. During that period, he was also actively engaged in the private practice of law with the firm of Zwick & Sigler in Decatur, Indiana.
Throughout his career, Dan’s focus has been in litigation, including both personal injury prosecution and defense as well as various types of commercial litigation. His practice continues to include litigation, but with a growing involvement in civil mediation and alternative dispute resolution, in addition to ongoing representation of business and corporate clients.
A member of the Indiana and Whitley County Bar Associations, he has also been active in the Indiana Association of Trial Lawyers and the American Trial Lawyer Association and is a Fellow of the Indiana Bar Foundation. He is also past-president of the Indiana Prosecuting Attorney’s Association.
